Bills fans can take a fairly large sigh of relief: top draft pick Marcell Dareus, who was on crutches after practice yesterday, is apparently going to be fine. During a radio interview on KISS 98.5, Dareus clarified what happened in practice Wednesday: “I got kicked in my calf and they said I bruised a muscle and they didn’t want to take a risk, so they sent me out of practice and I got some treatment,” Dareus said. ”We were stretching it out trying to get it back well.” Dareus says that he’s hoping to play in Saturday’s preseason contest against the [...]

BLD Exclusive: A Big Man With a Big Future – An Interview With Michael Jasper on Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

Michael Jasper was awesome enough to talk with us about his time with the Bills so far. Everyone loves an underdog story, even when the underdog weighs almost 400 pounds. Maybe that’s why fans have been so interested in Michael Jasper, the Bills’ seventh-round draft pick from Bethel. People have marveled at his athleticism, his size, and his successful effort to drop over 50 pounds to meet the goal set by Buffalo scout Matt Hand. I had the opportunity to speak with Jasper recently and ask him about his NFL experience and what he hopes to accomplish as a Buffalo [...]

Clearly Desperate Bills Now Trying Andy Levitre at Left Tackle on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

There’s really no way to sugarcoat it: current Buffalo left tackle Demetrius Bell was absolutely terrible in the Bills’ recent preseason loss to Denver. The Broncos generated a ton of quarterback pressure, and a lot of that was guys (rookie Von Miller especially) simply running right past Bell untouched. Realizing that the left tackle issue could sink the entire offense, Bills coach Chan Gailey has decided to give guard Andy Levitre some snaps at the position. “My job is to get the five best on the field,” said Gailey. “Maybe that’s our five best is playing Chad (Rinehart) at guard and [...]

Fred Jackson is not happy C.J. Spiller is competing for his job. Well, this isn’t good. In an exclusive interview with WGR Sports Radio 550, Bills RB Fred Jackson says that he’s not happy with the level of respect he gets from the Bills organization. “Absolutely I [feel disrespected]. I’ve been saying it, I feel like a number one back and I should be treated like one. I should know what’s going on and know where I stand and what the situation is.” Jackson, who has had to battle for playing time his entire career with the likes of Marshawn Lynch, Willis McGahee, [...]
