Celebrate Winter in Buffalo

February 27-28, downtown Buffalo will be transformed into a festive winter celebration. Coinciding with the Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament, the festival will feature a variety of family-friendly events and promises to become an exciting annual tradition.

It’s the stuff of winter dreams, for adults and kids alike: Gathering with friends and family to enjoy hot food and refreshments, ice skating, broom ball, snowshoeing, carriage rides, and the polar bear swim; and unique and offbeat attractions like the World’s Largest Ice Maze, igloo building, a snowshoveling contest, and snow tubing down the Skyway Seneca Street ramp.

Where

Festival activities will take place in and around the southern end of downtown Buffalo, including the plaza surrounding HSBC Tower, multiple levels of the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery, neighboring parking lots, and various sites within the encompassing street grid, which will be closed to traffic during the festival. We recommend taking the Metro Rail to benefit the environment, minimize traffic downtown, and relieve available parking.

Who

The festival is free and open to the public, welcoming families and groups of all sizes. Some activities do require purchase or registration.
