Amazing Maze! on Sunday, February 28th, 2010

BRO friend and extraordinary photographer Joe Cascio dropped this in our in box late last night "just because," he said.

When we first arrived at the Powder Keg Festival yesterday, the first thing we saw was a long line snaking down Main Street.  As we cut through to cross Main, I asked a young guy who was waiting, "So what's the line for?"

He answered, "I'm not sure...".  His friend rolled his eyes and said, "Dude, we're going through the ice maze."  The line was long, but fast-moving, with everyone waiting for their chance to make it to the center and sit in the ice throne.

Climbing a mound of ice and snow outside of the maze to get a better shot, people politely moved out of the way to give me the highest vantage point without my asking, and the much taller man next to me offered to take a shot for me - in typical Buffalo spirit.

Thanks to Joe and my pinch hitter photog, whose ground shot I have attached at the end here.
