Amodeo Visits 4,000th WNY Family in Quest to Bring Integrity Back to Albany on Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Last night, New York State Assembly candidate and Lakeview resident Mike Amodeo officially knocked-on his 4,000th neighbor’s door as part of the community-oriented, grassroots campaign to take back control of state government for the taxpayers of Western New York.
“By taking to the streets and country roads of the 146th district, my campaign seeks to connect with everyday people on their own front porches, a setting where they can feel comfortable talking about how state government has failed them, and what can be done to make New York a better place to live, work and raise a family,” said Amodeo. “While other candidates for this Assembly seat have concentrated their efforts on cozying-up to the same old political players and special interests in order to win endorsements and raise money, my focus has and will remain on offering voters a sincere, compassionate and different choice in this election. Not just more of the same.”
Through the course of his extensive outreach to the 146th district community, Amodeo has spoken with voters about why his experience, temperament and independence make him the best choice to induce change and reform in the shadowy halls of our state capitol.
“This campaign will never be outworked when it comes to voter outreach and an understanding of the issues that truly concern residents of this district,” Amodeo continued. “My opponents may operate better in smoky, backroom political parlors, and if so, I gladly cede that territory for the light of a neighbor’s front stoop. That is where policy trumps politics. And it is where our campaign for change distances itself from the pack.”

Mike Amodeo grew up in rural Springville and currently lives in Lakeview with his wife and infant son. He is an attorney at Damon Morey, LLP and has never pursued elected office before. His campaign focuses on bringing fiscal responsibility and needed reforms to Albany.
