Because of You on Saturday, November 28th, 2009

You’ll hear a lot about the five unanswered goals in the third period.

But the Sabres probably would have needed six goals to beat the Carolina Hurricanes if not for Ryan Miller.

The Sabres goaltender stopped 30 shots in his best game of the season and made a few jaw-dropping saves along the way.

The Sabres had no business winning tonight. The benefit of having a franchise goalie between the pipes is that he can bail you out if you have a bad game.

And did Miller ever bail them out tonight.

There’s no question he’s been the team’s MVP through the first quarter of the season. Has he been the league’s most valuable player?

Tonight’s performance should legitimately put him in the conversation at the very least.
