Lingering Nights by Claire Geist
 
In a way, lingerie is an expression of feminine freedom. Originally designed in the first half of the twentieth century in France by Lady Duff-Gordon as a way for women to start moving away from wearing restrictive corsets, bras and panties were sets thought up during the height of woman's suffrage. In the 1960's Fredrick's of Hollywood made lingerie accessible and glamorous.

Now, as it has replaced corsets and bulky undergarments, wearing lingerie has also become a way for women to feel sexy and confident without the reason being outwardly obvious. There's something quite alluring about slipping on a lacy bra and panty set under a plain t-shirt and jeans, don't you think?



When shopping around, obviously everyone has a different body shape, and fit is especially important in this case. With bras, you don't want to be "spilling over" so to speak, so make sure you have at least one fitting before purchasing, and ALWAYS (in the case with bras) try it on first!
