Feb. Family Diet Challenge Day 18 on Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Our family has a long-running tradition of getting together to play cards, watch movies, celebrate holidays… any reasonable reason to gather and party. And of course, the guest of honor at any of our gatherings is always…FOOD! And not necessarily foods of the healthiest kinds.

So last night when we gathered to watch the Olympics and play euchre, the burning question among all of us …dieters and non-dieters alike….was… you guessed it…”What are we going to eat?”

I am proud to say that by the end of the night, we as a group stuck to the terms of our individual elimination diets. Yet we also held true to our family’s junk food traditions. Our menu?? Sweet potato oven baked fries dipped in Agave and hummus and a vegan cheesecake for dessert.

Where there’s a will….there’s always a way!
