There are always two or more restaurants competing for the best “whatever” in town.

Buffalo is no different as chicken wings are everywhere of course. But a forty-year old battle between Anchor Bar and Duff’s – each claiming to have the best chicken wings in town (debatable), will gain some national attention and will be the featured focus in the premiere of a new Travel Channel show called “Food Wars“.

The Anchor Bar obviously has the reputation as being “home to the original” chicken wing,  but being first doesn’t necessarily mean “best”  as any Buffalonian would be happy yo tell you.

The show claims:

“It’s gonna take a star-studded blind taste taster panel and even a visit from the city Mayor to settle this city’s serious wing war – which side will you be on?”

Regardless, the battle between the two iconic wing joints can be seen Tuesday night at 10pm on the Travel Channel.
