Embattled Buffalo councilmember Brian Davis ran from reporters yesterday after showing up for a common council meeting. Davis is being investigated in connection with alleged misappropriation of funds at City Hall, poor attendance and involvement in the failed One Sunset nightclub. State police seem to be focusing on Davis’ financial affairs.
SEATTLE — A child’s body found Thursday on an island beach in Puget Sound is
that of an 8-year-old boy who vanished last weekend with his mother, a Pierce County
sheriff’s spokesman said.
The victim of a fatal fire in a Perry Street apartment late Wednesday has
been identified as Mary Bly, 59.
