The New York Mets have signed right-hander Ramon Ortiz to a minor league deal and assigned him to Buffalo, the Bisons said in a press release Wednesday. Ortiz will start for the Bisons on Wednesday night against the Gwinnett Braves. Game time is 7:05 p.m. (1520-AM).
