Rumored: New Sabres Uniforms on Thursday, March 25th, 2010

A hockey blog - Icethetics.info - is reporting that Reebok has released details on NHL jersey changes for next season including big changes for the Buffalo Sabres.  According to the blog, next season the Sabres will be using their current third jersey - a modernized throwback with the charging buffalo and swords - as their new home jersey (pictured below).

That is likely to be very popular with fans who overwhelmingly prefer the old jersey to the controversial Slugs logo.  On the road, the Sabres may be wearing a white version of the modernized throwback though Reebok lists next year's road jersey as to be determined so the fate of the slug jersey is still unknown.

The Sabres will also be releasing yet another alternative jersey (see intro image for this post).  This interpretation of the to-be-released alternative jersey has a throwback feel as well and, we're guessing, will be popular with fans as it maintains the classic Sabres colors and logo.
