Salsa in Buffalo: Get in on Salsa Sarah’s Classes on Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Last week, BRO alerted readers to an upcoming Valentine's Day salsa get together.  Since seeing is believing, we wanted to let you know what you may have missed, while prompting you to vow never to miss another.

2nd Cup was packed this past Friday night with beautiful people of all different levels of skill in the art of salsa, but even for those who sat watching, enjoying the dancers movement and the live music by Latin Jazz Project was worth the $10 admission, with partial proceeds going to help Haiti.

Organized by "Salsa Sarah" Hooper, there were a few exhibition dances for this event that drew people from Buffalo, Rochester and all over WNY.  UB's Alma Nanichi Dance Group performed as well as Tommy Radon of STORM and his partner Sarah Panzica (these images).

Hooper (below) has traveled and danced salsa all over the world, including: Paris, London, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, Wellington, NZ; Sydney, Australia; Toronto, Canada; and all over the United States, including Maui Hawaii, where she studied and taught with Zephyr, another great salsa instructor.
