Shanghai Reds: Open for Business on Thursday, February 18th, 2010

It's true - the sit-down restaurant portion of Shanghai Reds closed last month, but they've been going gang-busters with catering and events ever since.

Know too, that they will be open next weekend during the Labatt Blue Pond Hockey Tournament and the Powder Keg Festival.  A Reds representative said tournament and festival-goers can expect a fully operational dining room, along with outside concessions and a bar.

The target date for a reopening of the dining facilities is April 15th, and though designers and management are kicking around ideas, the new incarnation is up in the air.  The rep said that as they weigh options, it may look the same, with new offerings, or may be a totally different concept.

In the meanwhile, don't forget that there will be carriage rides between the Pearl Street Brewery and Shanghai Reds next weekend.  You'll want to get in on that...
