Bait and Switch

Bass Pro Shops has announced they will not go forward and sign a lease to build a store at Canalside. However, they will install up to 35 “Live Bait” vending machines along the Buffalo waterfront, so it’s not a total wash…

Update! At the just finished press conference announcing the Bass Pro deal being all dead and stuff, we learned that there are ten alternate anchor possibilities. Tommunisms has exclusively obtained the list of possible tenants:
1.) Gold Circle
2.) AM&A’s
3.) Hills
4.) Ames
5.) Brand Names
6.) World’s Biggest Bouncey Castle
7.) Super Flea II
8.) Arthur Treacher’s “You catch it, we grill it!” Fish Shop
9.) The Courier Express
10.) Headquarters of the “Let’s Sue Everyone to Keep Buffalo Lame Society of Obstructionist Jackasses”

I’m sure WNYmedia will have plenty of real news about this shortly…

The Obama administration has bailed out Detroit. They’ve bailed out Wall Street. And now they’re finally bailing out something I agree with: Route 66. Over the long weekend, a plan was unveiled for the first large-scale upgrade to our nation’s infrastructure in over 50 years. It’s something I’ve been calling for for years. Granted, there [...]
