Sunday Morning Bitchathon on Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Sundays are always annoying, what with the Sunday Morning Bobble Heads and what passes for a newspaper in Buffalo these days.

First up: Chris Lee as WNY’s biggest a**hole. @JerryZrimski informs us that Chris Lee managed to spend over a quarter million dollar$, on “glossy brochures”. 13 times as much as Slaughter and Higgens combined.

Maybe someday, someone will be able to explain to me how the republican brain works. Complain viciously about government spending then go spend more than everyone you complain about?

Next up: Clueless McCarthy lets us know that “Minor Parties Strut the Stage”. Poor Bob, his last hope for republican dominance in WNY faded away as the Independence Party endorsed Democrat Sam Hoyt.

No Sunday is complete without a chat with one of our favorite neighbors who let us know that a recent meeting of the GBNRTC, people were asking why the approximately $3 million budgeted by the Feds for the bike trail in North Buffalo has still not been spent.

The answer, of course, is Mayor Browneye’s laser like focus on campaign contributions development at any cost.

And speaking of cost, those patio homes (Colvin Estates) that were going to go in instead a bike trail in North Buffalo, well maybe not. Turns out that the cost to install sewer lines came in at over $1 million, well over the $600K of tax payers money that Mayor Broweye was willing to spend.
