The Buffalo Bandits square off here in Toronto against division powerhouse Toronto Rock in about 30 minutes. 

The preseason tension between these rivals ratcheted up after last week’s overtime Bandits win, the second game of this home and home series promises to be a real barn burner.

A few notes for tonight’s game:

• Living legend John Tavares is 3 goals away from 700.  Can he pull it off here tonight?  He had 3 goals last week against Toronto.

• Even with their traditionally tragic 4th quarters, the Bandits are the best team in the league coming out of halftime.  Their goal differential is +6 and their shots on goal are +14.

• Though they lost last week’s game, Toronto’s Stephan LeBlanc was the NLL Overall Player of the Week.   He had 3 goals and 5 assists last week against Buffalo.  The Bandits are going to need to limit his scoring chances.
